Standards for Scottish Solicitors

The aim of the standards project  is to better articulate to the public and profession the standards currently expected of Scottish solicitors.

Part of that process is to make the standards into practice rules. The profession will be asked to approve the attached rules at the Society's SGM on Friday 26 September 2008.

These standards are based on the current Code of Conduct and if approved will in due course replace the Code of Conduct.

Also attached is a paper on standards of service which the profession will be asked to adopt at the SGM.
