EU Commission Communication: An area of freedom, security and justice serving the citizen
This joint position, drafted by the Law Societies Brussels Office, refers to the EU Commission Communication above and the EU Presidency's
Roadmap on procedural rights of 1 July. The paper, which was endorsed by the Society's Criminal Law Committee, sets out a vision for the type of area of freedom, security and justice that would bring real benefit for individuals in Europe from 2010 to 2014 in relation to criminal matters including procedural rights.
