Scottish Legal Services Trust

The trust has been established principally to provide financial assistance to facilitate meeting any necessary costs, expenses or outlays in relation to legal matters for which pro bono services are being supplied (i.e. fees are not being charged):-

(a) to members of the public who are in need or unable to meet them or are suffering financial hardship;

or

(b) to charitable institutions of limited means which support local communities or community organisations or activities.

If you think that you may be in either of these categories, speak to your solicitor, who can make an application for assistance to the Law Society of Scotland.
