Strengthening for the future: a consultation on the reform of
the children's hearings system
The consultation paper outlines proposals aimed at improving the
support provided by the children's hearings system by taking a
more streamlined, consistent and less bureaucratic approach.
Reforming the law for people who live together
This consultation paper was issued by Resolution, the English
equivalent of the Family Law Association, in advance of a Bill on cohabitation, which was introduced
into the House of Lords in December 2008. Given that the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006 already makes
provisions on cohabitation, the Society was well-placed to
comment.
