In-house lawyers
Welcome to the pages of the In-house Lawyers Group.
In-house lawyers are a large and growing part of Scottish legal
profession, with almost a quarter of the practising profession
working within government, local authorities, the Crown Office and Procurator
Fiscal service, the public and third sectors, and commerce and
industry.
These pages provide details of our varied and free CPD
programme, guidance on working in-house, details of the committee that
leads the work of the Group and how to contact them, and
information about the annual symposium and
general meeting 2011.
The aim is to provide useful information about the services and
support available to all in-house members. We hope you find
it useful, but would be grateful for suggestions on what more you
would like to see included.
Currently the Law Society of Scotland and the ILG are working
together to listen to members and find out their views about the
support we offer and roles we play. There is a dedicated section of
the website providing background information and updates on this
work, and most importantly, listing the different ways members can
get involved. See our ILG review page.
