Advice and Information related to Rule B8.2: ARTL Mandates
Current versions of the ARTL Mandates approved by the
Council of the Law Society of Scotland in terms of the
Rules can be downloaded here. These mandates as
mentioned in Professor Robert Rennie's opinion underpin the ARTL
process as the authority for solicitors to execute documents
electronically.
There are two forms of mandate;
Mandate A - for use in
general cases
Mandate B - for use in unrepresented borrower
cases
- Minor alterations to Mandate A were approved by the Council
in September 2010.
All ARTL Mandates sent to Registers of Scotland for scanning and
